Dr. Haiwen Ge was selected as a reviewer for the 2018 U.S. Department of Energy Vehicle Technologies Office (VTO) Annual Merit Review (AMR).

Dr. Haiwen Ge attended the 2018 Annual Conference of North American Association of Chinese Engine Engineers (NAACEE) on April 10. Dr. Ge was the Secretary General of the NAACEE in 2012-2013.

Dr. Haiwen Ge gave a talk titled "Computational Optimization of Internal Combustion Engines" at the Texas Systems Day, April 6, 2018.

Dr. Haiwen Ge joined the Advisory Board of the American Hydrogen Association. Dr. Ge will be responsible for evaluation the advanced concepts of hydrogen fueled internal combustion engines using 3D combustion CFD.

Dr. Haiwen Ge presented the results of turbulent jet ignition at the 9th CIMAC CASCADES Seminar for Young Engineers at College Station, TX
